Discover BGC is a local online directory, privately owned and maintained by longtime residents of Bonifacio Global City (or BGC). We try and answer the questions of visitors and residents about every day life here and show what it has to offer. Whether you are visiting, moving in or already settled, our goal is to help you enjoy your time in BGC just a little bit more thru daily discovery.
Where do you go in BGC when your pet is sick, you need a haircut or want to have some fun with your family? How do you find a store or service hidden deep inside a mall or building in BGC? It’s not so easy to find places in this compact city. That’s what we try and solve here.
Our Story
I bought my unit when Burgos Circle was an asphalt circle surrounded by tall grass. I never imagined how much it would develop over the years.
Through that time, I’ve been a resident and a landlord, single then married with a family, moved out and moved back in, worked in BGC and worked outside. What we need from BGC may differ at times but it always has something interesting to offer.
Why Build a BGC Directory?
Good question — several reasons:
- It’s not easy to find stores and businesses in BGC. Being a compact area full of high-rises, malls and townships, I am still surprised at what I find even after many years. There’s always something new or waiting to be discovered.
- Residents also share their discoveries. Long-time residents share good advice in forums (e.g. Facebook, Reddit, blogs). We try and pull it together in one place so it’s not buried and forgotten.
- BGC is not an official city. There’s no local government website and the few private websites that do exist focus on their own investments and tenants. We try and pull useful information in one place.
- Discover BGC is built from a visitor or resident viewpoint. There are plenty of sites reviewing new restaurants and stores. But the questions of daily life, moving in and finding gems off the beaten path is what we try and answer.

While we try and keep information accurate, we realize it will change. Please feel free to report errors or changes using the “Report an Issue” button on the listings.
How Does this Website Stay Afloat?
To pay the website bills, we use banner ads and display ads that are hopefully not so intrusive. There are affiliate links where we may get a small commission at no cost to you should you book a service through our site. All of these are documented in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Other than that, Discover BGC is an experiment if people will find it of any value at all. We’ve got until 2027 to see how it goes. Let us know how we’re doing!
